NCIS: Los Angeles star Eric Christian Olsen is months away from becoming a parent. His wife, actress Sarah Wright, is expecting the couple's first child, a son, in August. As he tries to absorb the magnitude of raising a little one of his own, Olsen, 35, penned a letter of homage to his mother, Jeanne.
Dear Mom,
Let's be honest. I was a weird-looking baby. A little cross-eyed, big belly, and smiling constantly like a confused golden retriever. But you loved me unconditionally and gave me a foundation of support that provided me the confidence to take risks. This Mother's Day carries a gravitas that I'm just beginning to grasp. As Sarah and I bring a baby into this world, I realize (now) that I have learned from the best. Your example has given me the tools to navigate the impending chaos, and if we do a fraction of the job that you guys did, this kid is gonna be an all-star.
I'll love you forever; I'll like you for always... Eric
Eric Christian Olsen is used to solving mysteries, so it’s no surprise the actor has managed to crack the code to pampering his pregnant wife, Sarah Wright.
“Eric has been the most amazing husband,” the expectant actress told PEOPLE exclusively, after debuting her baby bump in a L’Agence gown Wednesday for the Kaleidoscope Ball in Beverly Hills.
“In my first three months he cooked me food, did all the laundry and cleaning while working 60 hours a week on the show!” [READ MORE]
I have pics of Eric and Sarah at the Kaleidoscope Ball. Will add them this weekend! :)
The mystery of why actor Eric Christian Olsen can’t stop smiling these days has been solved.
The NCIS: Los Angeles star and wife Sarah Wright are expecting their first child — a boy! — in August, they tell PEOPLE exclusively.
“When they handed me the 3D sonogram and I saw Sarah’s perfect lips and that little Norwegian nose just like mine, I was overcome with a sense of clarity in the world that I can only imagine is beginning of fatherhood,” Olsen, 35, tells PEOPLE.
“We’re so excited and can’t wait to meet him.” [READ MORE]
Congrats to Eric and Sarah! This is wonderful news!
Question: I need scoop on NCIS: LA‘s Deeks/Kensi. Anything would be awesome! —Christy Ausiello: Oh, I’ve got much more than “anything.” Daniela Ruah shared with TVLine this sexy scoop at Monday’s TV Academy Hall of Fame event: “Considering how fun it was to see Kensi and Deeks go undercover as a married couple, they’re doing it again, not long before the season ends. “I just found out today,” she added, “so that’s pretty much the extent of my knowledge.
Hey guys! In May, Eric Christian Olsen Online will celebrate its 10th birthday. I would like to do something to celebrate the anniversary and I'd like to know if you'd be interested in participating. I'd like to raise some money for Hats Off For Cancer and the idea is that if you donate to the charity (even if it's like $4), you'll have a chance to win something signed by Eric (for example). So in the end, I'll draw a name from a hat and that person will win. But before I approach Eric and Hats Off For Cancer about this, I need to know if people will participate. So please answer the poll above. Thanks!
Eric is participating in CBS's Celebrity Cook-Off. You can vote for your favorite celeb's Super Bowl recipe and help them win $5000 for a charity of their choice. Eric's charity is Hats Off For Cancer. Check out his dish:
"The glorious invention of 3 consecutive games of football on Sundays = all kinds of awesome. Having to roll myself to bed because of all the chicken wings and beef sliders I ingested over that 9 hours = less than stellar. So I came up with a healthy alternative that powers me through to the late game. Get to know it, Deek's Famous Farm Fresh Greek Salad = the John Henry of Sunday snacking." (VIEW RECIPE)
Don't forget to vote for Eric's recipe over at the CBS site!
Hey guys, Diane posted reviews of the NCIS: Los Angeles episodes "The Gold Standard" (#4.09) and "Free Ride" (#4.10) over at the FORUM. Thanks, Di!
Here's a preview of "The Gold Standard":
"Welcome back Joe Wilson! It’s about time! This is Joe’s first script of the new season and we couldn’t be more delighted. Teaming up with Director Tony Wharmby (Lange, H.), this dynamic duo promises more than its share of excitement and explosive moments. The team is off to investigate another terrorist act which can have dire effects on the U.S. Economy. This time we get to explore Sam’s aversion to clowns more closely and watch Kensi as she partners up with Granger! (Oh, no, no!)."
And here's a preview of the Christmas ep "Free Ride":
"It wouldn’t be Christmas without a holiday episode from the cast and crew of NCIS LOS ANGELES. This is the second holiday episode directed by Jonathan Frakes. From all the location pictures taken during the filming, it looks like Mr. Frakes and the crew spent a fun time together. This is the first script from Tim Clemente since Season One (Blood Brothers) and it was also co-written with R. Scott Gemmill. The team is investigating the death of one of their own. I may be mistaken, but I think this is the first time Callen and the crew has gone on location aboard a US Navy ship. As a trainer for the Navy, I spent many hours on board ship and it was nice to see the gang actually working in a naval environment."
Eric's involved with the organization Hats Off For Cancer. It focuses on improving the quality of life for the courageous children and teens who are battling and have battled cancer. Check out the PSA below and visit the Hats Off For Cancer website for more information about you how can help.
Check out Diane's review of last Tuesday's NCIS: LA episode "Recruit" (#4.02) over at the FORUM. Here's a preview:
"After a successful opening premier episode, the team gets down to business doing what they do best…going undercover! This time it’s investigating the death of a retired Marine sergeant who was found dead in Afghanistan after an American drone hits a bomb making compound where he was living. Callen, Sam, Kensi and Deeks get to go undercover together but far from the streets of Los Angeles. After seeing Deeks perched on top of a camel in promotional pictures, I couldn’t wait to see what trouble the detective and his colleagues would get into. Written by R. Scott Gemmill (author of one of my fav episodes Tin Soldiers), the agents have to find out whether our rouge ex-marine was a traitor to his country or if he was mixed up in some form of espionage."
