The lovely Diane posted a review of Tuesday's NCIS: LA ep "The Watchers" (#3.12) over at the forum Go check it out! Below is a preview:
"I don’t know about you, but it’s feels like forever since we watched a new episode of our favorite show, NCIS Los Angeles! Good to see the return of the second half of the 3rd season with The Watchers. Written by executive producer (and staff writer since 1999), R. Scott Gemmill is joined by veteran NCISLA director Tony Warmby on this show. Both have written and directed some of my favorite episodes, so I was really looking forward to this behind the camera pairing. This time we are also introduced to a new character to the team (since Lauren Hunter) in NCIS Assistant Director, Owen Granger."
The wonderful Diane posted her first NCIS: Los Angeles review over at the forum. She wrote a review of last night's episode "Higher Power" (#3.11). Join the forum and discuss the ep with other ECO/Deeks fans!
Below is a little preview, check out the rest at the FORUM!
"First up is last night’s holiday themed episode entitled Higher Power written by Joe Sachs. The NCIS team has to locate a classified device called a Flux Generator stolen from a college research facility with the power to destroy Los Angeles. Of course, the best part of this series is when the back story features the wonderfully created characters by Shane Brennan. We get to find out more about Sam, the father, as he tries to track down a highly sought-after pony for his daughter. And lo and behold the Eric/Nell partnership is moved along a little bit as Eric meets Nell’s parents…inadvertently! Will he ever find out what Nell told her family about him? Perhaps that he is an avid collector of action figurines? I was also surprised that Eric and Nell’s family are not aware of what they do for a living and that they maintain undercover personas as tv news editors and professional gamblers. Interesting! Back with the Densi partnership, Deeks is hoping to join Kensi this year in her holiday travels but it looks like she is taking a solo trip back to Hawaii. Hmm, a meet up with Danno, perhaps? Will Deeks eventually find out? Looks like this could be the back drop for what is coming up next between the two."
Hey guys, I revamped the forum and it's back online. Be sure to check it out! I haven't started a lot of topics yet, so feel free to start a new thread! You can choose between two skins. The new skin is now the default skin, but you can also switch back to the original skin by modifying your profile. The header image on the forum is temporary. I'll start a thread in a few weeks where you'll be able to submit an image/blend for the header and members get to vote which image they would like to see used for this skin. But we need active members first. ;)
I think that's it for now. I have a pretty busy week coming up so no regular update till the weekend. I'll stop by the forum or post news here if there's any news. Have a good week!
Because Fired Up is on TV in the Netherlands tonight, I thought I'd add another batch of Fired Up screencaps. We have almost 500 caps now and I still have another 30 minutes to cap!
I didn't feel like working on the forum today, so I hope you don't mind I did a regular update. Also, don't forget to follow the site on Twitter over @ericcolsennet. :)
An expedition of a lifetime becomes a subterranean nightmare in The Thing, the thrilling prelude to John Carpenter's 1982 film of the same name. Debuting on Blu-ray™ Combo Pack with UltraViolet™, DVD, Digital Download and On Demand on January 31, 2011, The Thing stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) as paleontologist Kate Lloyd who, along with the crew's pilot Carter (Joel Edgerton, Warrior), discovers a mysterious organism buried in the ice.
When a simple experiment frees the creature from its frozen prison, it unleashes a flood of chaos and paranoia upon the camp, pitting the team against one another. With the ability to mimic the physicality of anything or anyone that it touches, the shape-shifting creature makes everyone a suspect in this suspenseful psychological thriller. From Dawn of the Dead producers Marc Abraham and Eric Newman, The Thing also stars Ulrich Thomsen (Season of the Witch), Eric Christian Olsen ("NCIS: Los Angeles"), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje ("Lost"), Paul Braunstein (Tuxedo) and Kim Bubbs ("Bloodletting & Miraculous Cures").
The Thing Blu-ray™ Combo Pack includes an all-new UltraViolet™ copy of the film. UltraViolet™ is the revolutionary new way for consumers to collect movies and TV shows, put them in the cloud and stream instantly to computers, tablets and smart phones, and soon, consumers can download to devices of their choice too. The Thing Blu-ray™ Combo Pack also includes a DVD as well as a Digital Copy of the film which is compatible with iTunes®, iPad®, iPhone®, iPod™ touch, Android or other retail partners. So now, consumers can truly enjoy their movies and TV shows anytime, anywhere, on the platform of their choice.
Special features: • Deleted/Extended scenes • Audio commentary by Director Matthijs van Heijningen and Producer Eric Newman • The Thing Evolves: Profiling key behind-the-scenes stories of the film from inception to completion, including pieces entitled "The Legacy," "The Inspiration" and "The Evolution." • Fire & Ice: In a frigid environment and against a relentless foe, there's only one hope: Fire. Join the cast as they train with flame-throwers, battle wild fires on-set and get schooled in the importance of understanding fire's unpredictable personality.
I don't have much time for an update today, but I wanted to post something, so here's a video of Eric talking to the LA Times at the premiere of The Thing.
Also, the forum is in maintenance mode. I'm revamping it, but don't have time to finish it right now. I hope to have it up and running again by next weekend.
